"A for Asia is a movie within a movie and is about the double meaning of the relationships and roles that we make for ourselves. In real life Jessica Bennet ran away to become Asia Carrera where she had serious on-screen relationships with both Jonathan Morgan and Tony Tedeschi before marrying director Bud Lee. Bud, Asia, and Jonathan all play themselves in this porno about how porn stars deal with each other in front of the camera and each other's judgment. More so than any other porno that comes to mind, it works to demystify the whole experience by showing how cold and calculating it can be producing a scene. It's not Masterpiece Theater and doesn't touch on any of the unconscious myths of our culture, but it does have a lot more meaning behind it than some would give it credit for.
